Burberry Prorsum Fall 2012

i can't believe i'm only posting this now. i stayed up way past my bed time just to live stream this, i mean, it's fookin' Burberry for the love of my mother, and as expected, i was blown away. Christopher Bailey has a gift; everything he touches turns to gold. i do have to confess that i'm still MUCH MORE crazier for the SS12 collection as compared to this. nonetheless, Bailey put on an amazing show - i am as usual impressed with his choice of music for the runway, the clothes are amazing, the models are properly chic, i am absolutely IN LOVE with the studded gloves, the trench coats, the velvet! oh, the velvet. never knew men would look so good draped in it (and oh, how bout those duckling umbrella handles!). Bailey just knows what he's doing, and that is just super awesome.

like a candy store, only prettier and waaaay chic! the houndstooth prints, the zig-zags ala Missoni, and oh my the leather! am absolutely smitten by the houndstooth knit jumper-scarf and leather pants combo (oh, and the gloves!). also, can i please have one of those leather baseball caps, pretty please?

holy eyegasm, she's done it again! i managed to catch the show (at work, nyehehe) on a live stream via Fashionista.com, and boy, was i blown away! the collection is said to have been inspired by everyday items, such as wrist watches, coat hangers, typewriter keyboards, spoons, and No.2 HB pencils! everything looks crazy amazing, from the prints down to the silhouettes. my favorites: the floor-length dresses (so red-carpet worthy), the flowy ruffled short dresses (how mother gorgeous are these!), the chunky knits, and of course, the colors. these pieces are so artsy, yet so wearable - simply genius. 

oh, you know what would be brill? to be tripping on acid when watching the show. seriously.

she's done it again! this collection once again showcased Hoffman's trademark free-spirited, breezy silhouettes in floaty silks and sleek geometric prints, only this time with a Southwest feel - campfire, anyone? every piece is utterly gorgeous and the add-ons are as interesting, especially the statement jewelries. this is West-meets-tribal at its best. WIN.

what makes Helmut Lang so inevitably cool is their brand DNA, the trademarks that are the leather, the jackets, the drapey dresses and the asymmetrical frocks - which are exactly what makes this collection so irresistible to me! besides the usual strong, cool gal vibe this collection oozes, i'd really like to talk about the thigh-high suede booties, which are so killing me with its radness! like seriously. and the open weave knits and those see-through mesh tops - are you kidding me?! how about that fiery tones? so fierce, i like!

is this the new geek chic? these pieces scream details that are to-die-for, right down to the accessories and shoes! i am loving the pencil skirts, the quirky prints, the sporty-elegant vibe, the collars, the leather, the GOLD oxfords! i absolutely adore how the pencil skirts are paired with flat oxfords instead of heels. not to mention the flowy, floor-length maxi skirts - so perfect for a fairy-tale night out. and the printed suit-blazer combo? that just speaks for itself. and how could anyone miss those chunky metallic choker/necklace?! NEED.
