i finally watched this movie last night (after many missed opportunities, intentionally i supposed, because my boyfriend and i had once given up midway through the original version, which is in Swedish, and i've personally never really been into remakes), and i'm officially obsessed. i simply can't stop thinking about this girl, not Rooney in particular, but Lisbeth Salander, none other than the girl with the dragon tattoo herself; or should i even say specifically, David Fincher's version of her. her nonchalance, her icy yet vulnerable exterior, her aggressiveness, and ultimately, her tortured mind. the rebel in me rejoiced at the sight of this very character in the pursuit of her vengeful purpose. fascinating as fuck. need the book now.
